Morgan 'Kind of Blue' goes to the museum!

Last fall we began a journey alongside alto virtuoso Jim Snidero to re-create the legendary Cannonball Adderley mouthpiece that he was well known for on Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue album.  Jim has been the owner of the original mouthpiece for the past 20+ years.  The creation of this 'cloned' copy has become a huge hit with the worldwide saxophone community and a best seller in our legendary mouthpiece lineup.

Fast forward to February 14, 2025.  One of the most renowned museums in the world welcomed the donation of that original mouthpiece, held by Jim Snidero, to be paired with Cannonball Adderley's King Super 20 Silver Sonic alto saxophone!  

Tradition meets technology

We were pleased to make the contribution of our new modern version of Cannonball's traditional mouthpiece when asked by the museum's jazz artist director.  By pairing the 2 mouthpieces alongside the horn, his thinking was that it would be an interesting intersection of tradition and technology.
