The Morgan Jazz GM Baritone Saxophone Mouthpiece is produced from an original mold used to manufacture M.C. Gregory baritone saxophone mouthpieces. Morgan acquired this historic tooling and brought the design back into production for players seeking the distinctive character of the classic Gregory-style baritone mouthpiece.
The GM is an excellent choice for players who appreciate traditional large-chamber baritone mouthpieces and the warm, full-bodied tonal character associated with vintage M.C. Gregory designs. Rather than simply creating a modern mouthpiece inspired by a Gregory, the Morgan GM begins with the actual vintage mold.
Each mouthpiece is individually finished and faced by Morgan craftsmen, combining this historic design with the consistency and careful hand finishing of a modern Morgan mouthpiece.

Choosing a Tip Opening
The Morgan GM Baritone is available in six standard tip openings:
5 – .085"
6 – .090"
7 – .095"
8 – .100"
8 – .105"*
9 – .110"
The 5 and 6 provide the most moderate openings and a controlled, responsive feel. The 7 and 8 offer a balance of response and flexibility that will suit many players. The 8* and 9 provide progressively more open facings for players who prefer greater flexibility and more room to shape the sound.
Reed strength, embouchure and individual playing style will also affect how each tip opening responds.
XL Shank for Vintage Baritone Saxophones
Every GM tip opening is also available with our extended XL shank. The XL option is designed for certain vintage baritone saxophones that can be difficult to bring into proper intonation with a standard-length mouthpiece.
The additional shank length allows the mouthpiece to be positioned farther out on the neck while maintaining a secure fit, helping address tuning issues encountered on some older instruments.
XL sizes: 5, 6, 7, 8, 8* and 9

This is The Perfect Baritone Sax mouthpiece. Perfect intonation; exquisite, rich, meaty bari sound - you can be pretty or you can dig in a bit and make it "Bark!". Beautiful finishing from the master mouthpiece guys at Morgan. It's soooo hard to put down the horn, you want to just keep playing. Highly recommended to anyone that loves their bari sax.
I was immediately comfortable with this mouthpiece, that serves as more jazzy and softer alternative to my Aaron Drake Contemporary Rollover 10 (.120). Mpc plays in tune, is responsive and crafted with precision.
A great sound and a very easy reponse make this mouthpiece great for me.
Man, I love this mouthpiece. I was looking for vintage piece to make my 12m sound just like Gerry’s, but this is just a great warm all-around pleasure to play. It can really roar when that’s what you need. Plus, it looks super-cool with that copper collar.
Excellent tone and projection! Highly recommend!
