Choosing a Size
The Morgan Jazz Alto Large Chamber is available in tip openings from .065" to .085", offering a range of choices for resistance, flexibility and reed setup.
Most Popular: 6L (.075") — Our best-selling size and an excellent starting point for players looking for a balance of easy response, flexibility, projection and the rich tone of the large-chamber design.
If you're unsure which size to choose, the 6L (.075") is our most popular choice and a great place to start.
4L (.065") is available by custom order and is non-returnable.
Large or Medium Chamber?
The Jazz Alto Large Chamber offers a darker, broader and fuller traditional jazz sound. Players looking for a more focused, lively sound with added brilliance and projection may prefer the Jazz Alto Medium Chamber.

Handcrafted the Morgan Way
The Morgan Jazz Alto Large Chamber is handcrafted from our proprietary 100% pure hard rubber, molded and cured to Morgan specifications.
Rather than relying on CNC machining to create the finished interior, our craftsmen shape and finish the facing curve, tip and side rails, chamber and baffle by hand. Each mouthpiece is individually finished and voiced for response, balance and consistency.

Custom-Order Mouthpieces
Custom-order mouthpieces and custom-order sizes are not eligible for return or refund under our 10-day trial policy.
Custom sizes are made specifically to a customer's requested specifications and therefore cannot be returned simply because the player decides they prefer a different model, tip opening, facing, or playing characteristic.
Custom-order mouthpieces are still covered by our warranty for workmanship and performance-related issues. If you believe a custom mouthpiece has a manufacturing defect or is not performing as it should based on the agreed specifications, please contact us so we can evaluate the issue and determine the appropriate solution.
If you are considering a custom size, please contact us before placing your order so we can discuss your requirements and confirm the specifications.
Try Up to Three Mouthpieces
Not sure which model, facing, or tip opening is right for you?
You may purchase up to three Morgan mouthpieces in different models or sizes for a side-by-side trial.

Loud and expressive, but will have to fine tune the reed because it also made my Yani 902 more nasal.
I've loved Morgan mouthpieces for a long time. I recently bought a backup for one of my favourite alto mouthpieces, and there was an issue along the way. After some perfect customer service from Teresa and the team at Morgan Mouthpieces, I've ended up with one of the best mouthpieces I've ever played. Thoroughly recommended
The Morgan is of excellent quality from the box, ligature, and mouthpiece build. Seeing the details in the Jazz 5L, I immediately noticed why Morgans are handmade. The Morgan has incredible curved contours to create its unique quality of sound. The quality of build, IMO, is noticeably better than my other mouthpieces. The playability is excellent from top to bottom. Very smooth transitions between the upper and lower registers. The bottom notes are large, round, smooth from the large chamber. Overall, I love the Morgan Jazz 5L.
Fantastic mouthpiece, warm and clear sound, although plays a bit low and must be pressed firmly into the neck of the instrument. According to my experience it leaves no room to play higher if needed
This is an excellent mouthpiece and I am very pleased with your services. Thank you.
