Featuring more open, jazz-oriented facings, it retains the warm, rich character and comfortable response that have made Morgan clarinet mouthpieces popular with professional players for decades.
Each mouthpiece is individually handcrafted and finished by experienced Morgan craftsmen using our proprietary hard rubber. The result is a responsive, free-blowing mouthpiece equally at home in jazz, commercial, big band and contemporary playing.

The Morgan Jazz Bb Clarinet Mouthpiece is available in three more open, jazz-oriented facings for players looking for greater flexibility, projection and tonal freedom:
- J5 – 1.25mm: The closest Jazz facing, offering a good balance of control, response and flexibility.
- J6 – 1.35mm: A versatile medium-open facing with increased flexibility and projection while maintaining a strong tonal core.
- J7 – 1.45mm: Our most open Jazz facing, providing maximum flexibility, projection and a free-blowing response.

The J5 (1.25mm) is our most popular Jazz Bb Clarinet facing and a great starting point for most players. It offers an excellent balance of control, flexibility and response while providing the more open feel of our Jazz series.

With few exceptions, Morgan mouthpiece products are not available in retail stores. Because we deal directly with you, we can afford to keep our prices low and customer service high.
We offer a 10-day trial that starts the day you receive your shipment. So, you can play the mouthpieces without distraction in your preferred setting.
Purchase up to 3 mouthpieces in different models or sizes for side-by-side trial. Keep what you love and if you are not satisfied, return for a refund the mouthpiece(s) in the original packaging in new clean unmarked condition.
- We ship free in the USA on orders over $200! International orders ship Fedex Economy for $42.
- Use a tooth patch on each mouthpiece to prevent bite marks/scratches. Kindly remove tooth patches prior to returning mouthpieces.

RESTOCK or EXCHANGE FEE:
- If you purchase 1 mouthpiece and return it, there is a $20 restock fee if the item is valued under $499.00. Purchases valued over $500.00 are subject to a restock fee of $25.
- If you purchase multiple mouthpieces, keep at least one and return the others, there is a flat $25 restock fee for USA customers.
- If you purchase multiple and return all for refund, a restock fee of $20 may apply to each mouthpiece, depending on condition upon return. This applies to both USA and International orders. Kindly remove tooth patches prior to returning them.
- If you want to purchase a mouthpiece but exchange it for a different model or size, please contact us by email with your order info to discuss options. There is a $7.50 charge to cover the return shipping cost on exchanges.

Care Instructions
Clean with 3:1 water/vinegar ratio and buff with soft cloth. Do not immerse mouthpieces containing cork. Use spray bottle with solution, avoiding cork area and dry and buff with soft cotton cloth.

We know if can be difficult getting the right mouthpiece on the first try. We're happy to exchange models/sizes to suit your needs. A $7.50 return shipping charge applies when we ship your new item. Other charges may apply based on price variances in the mouthpiece(s) being exchanged. A waiting period may apply depending on availability of exchanged model.
These mouthpieces are excellent. The hand work is beautiful and especially impressive if you watch the videos on how they're produced.
I ordered two different sizes (a J-6 and a J-7 in my case) and both played well and in tune. They seem to be very "reed friendly" (you can comfortably use several different brands) and the J series is very controllable at high volume levels.
It is, what a clarinetplayer hopse to find. A classical tone and small
“resistance”.
I'm still learning all the surprises this mouthpiece has to offer. First impressions are: it is edgier, less forgiving of poor reed placement on its thin rails, needs be taken more in the mouth to accommodate its long facing,
requires reeds with a more pliable stem. But once this is mastered it begins to "sing" and give me more creative room, unlike other mouthpieces that do the work for me at the cost of more restriction. Tone has always been my priority on the clarinet and I wouldn't want to miss the lessons learnt and yet in store from this Morgan mouthpiece.

Great mouthpiece for jazz and classical. Flexible and balanced. Can produce a ringing bright sound, a strong deep core, and a soft velvety sound. I love it.
