Medium Chamber or Large Chamber?
Not sure which Excalibur Alto is right for you? Both models share the same slender, streamlined body and traditional Morgan design, but their chamber configurations give them different tonal characteristics.
Medium Chamber — Brighter and more projecting, with added edge and brilliance. A great choice for players who want a lively, responsive sound that can cut through an ensemble.
Large Chamber — Darker, warmer and broader, with a more traditional tonal character while retaining the quick response of the Excalibur design.

Handcrafted the Morgan Way
Morgan Excalibur mouthpieces are handcrafted the “vintage” way. Ralph Morgan founded the company with the goal of preserving the traditional art and science of mouthpiece making.
We begin with our pure hard rubber formula, molded and cured to Morgan specifications. The facing curve, rails, chamber and baffle are then shaped and finished by hand using traditional tools and techniques. The result is a true handcrafted hard rubber saxophone mouthpiece made by experienced Morgan craftsmen.

❤️❤️❤️
Plenty of bite/sparkle on the top end but retains a strong core sound. You can push this mouthpiece and get very close to the Cannonball tone from Sticks (Mercy, Mercy, Mercy! Live at "The Club"). Or, ease off and you still have a great warm tone. The mouthpiece has even response across all dynamic ranges; it is not like some mouthpieces that have bite when pushed but lose the body of the core tone at lower dynamics. I also find the thin beak sits very comfortably in the mouth, but this may vary by user.
GREAT mouthpiece, has a surprising amount of power/projection for not being a high baffle piece... in fact, I think this Excalibur has at least as much punch as my high baffle RPC, but without the wild intonation issues. Excalibur still sounds sweet when you back off the volume. Now I'm curious to try the larger chamber versions of this mouthpiece. I fear for my bank account!
To say that I am satisfied is an understatement! Mrs. Teresa very kind! Very fast shipping in Italy. The Morgan is a fantastic mouthpiece. From the very beginning I noticed an incredible volume and a magnificent color all the frequencies balanced. Very happy
This is a very free blowing mouthpiece with the right amount of brightness.
